April 2024
As always Spring is a crazy (you could say wacky) time as far as the number of Spring Art Shows and events. Here’s what I have coming up!
Acclaimed Fine Art April 12th, 13th & 14th
This three day event at the Crescent Heights Community Centre is one of our biggest events. Over three days we typically have well over 500 attendees and some incredible art on display.
Palette April 19th & 20th
With over 50 artists in attendance you’re sure to find a piece that fits your needs. Palette is put on by the Calgary Community Painters Society and always draws large crowds of people checking out local art.
The CAST Event! May 3rd, 4th & 5th
This is my second year with the Calgary Artists Studio Tour and I’m really looking forward to I as it gives people an opportunity to come check out where I create all my art, in my home studio!
This tour gives artists and art fans and collectors and opportunity to meet with local artists in their own home studios and to take a bit of a deep dive to see where and how these artists create and get inspired to create their pieces.
While I’m always excited to have visitors tour through my studio this will give hundreds of people an opportunity to interact not just with me but other artists across the city. Spanning three days starting on Friday May 3rd you’ll be able to visit and check out our spaces.
I’ve included the map below and I have the link at the start ofo this section I’ll include it below as well as you can download the full map from the main web page as well as take a deeper dive to see which studios you want to put on the top of your list.
As we’re scattered all over the city it might be easier prioritizing which and where you would like to be that way!
The artists will have pieces on display available for sale, there will be the opportunity to talk and discuss art with the artists and it’s going to be a great experience to see the inner sanctuary of some of your favourite artists!
I’ll have many never before seen pieces available along with many of my tools that I use to create my pieces on display so if you’re wondering where a specific pattern came from or how I create my lines or dots this is the tour for you!
Of course I’ll also have plenty of my hand painted cards available and much much more to check out.
Oh and when you see the abstract painted front door, you’ll know you’re at the Biko house!

State of Art May 10th & 11th
This show takes place at the Strathcona Community Centre and is also extremely well attended. With well over a dozen artists in attendance there’s always something for everyone here including jewelry, woodworking, pottery and more.
