Here’s the first year
For years I had been painting for fun on whatever paper I had laying around. Many times I would make cards to give away, or paintings that I would frame and display on the walls. So many positive comments from people, and many people interested in buying some of my art…but I was reluctant to sell work that was done with less than professional materials.
So with new focus, and encouragement from my High School art teacher and long time friend David Harrison, I decided to purchase some proper art materials. And my serious journey into creativity began.
I pulled out my sketchbooks from Interior Design and began drawing and playing with colour. Drawing various colours across the paper created some fabulous effects with the paint, and I was able to work back into the paintings to create layers of colour and texture.
