Thirteen New Works on Display

To get ready for the Arthouse Show “100 things for about $100″ I created a new series of paintings. From the show there were lots of discussions and excitement from my work. Each painting is suspended between two plates of glass, so they take on what ever colour your walls are.

They float and are a bit transparent in some areas. Here are some samples.

There are lots of opportunities for you to get out and see some fantastic art! I have created some wonderful new pieces to display and there are two art shows coming up this weekend!

April 28th to May 1

Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club

With the Riverview Artists Group I will have some exciting new pieces on display. It’s a lovely drive out in the country, and you can even book a nice spring brunch out there on the Sunday! Have a look at the Riverview site for more information. I will be at the location on the Saturday.

Calyx Distinctive Arts

This is a huge art show that takes place twice a year. Each day there are displays from 28 different artists. My work will be displayed on the Sunday only. I will have about 33 paintings on display. Many of them have never been in a show before, and some of them brand spankin’ new!

Nexen Building Art Show

Come to Riverview Artists largest show of the year. Lots of different styles of art to choose from. And of course there will be lots of mine. I’ve been busy builing two more easels to display at this show, as well as another large canvas to display. Check out my newest creation live!!

Busy, busy, busy….and not even painting.

I’ve been getting my work all completed and sent out to three different shows!!

This week I’m sitting at the TransCanada Building on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. I have two easels of my newest work. Take a look at the Riverview Artists website.

Christmas in the Country – at the Leighton Centre. This is a sale of unframed work. There will be live music, festive treats, children’s craft activities (6th only), and museum viewing.

Triangle Gallery Fundraiser – Studio Art Sale…

This year I have been “invited” to show at this charity function, and this allows me to display larger pieces of my work. I have a large canvas for sale here as well as two other selected works. 50% of proceeds go to support the Triangle Gallery. This runs from November 4th to 9th.

I have been working on many new paintings over the summer as well as a new way to view my artwork. I welcome you to the 2010 video of my paintings. Press play and sit back to enjoy the show. In the Gallery section of this site you can take a closer look at each of the paintings by clicking on the thumbnails. This will reveal a full picture of the painting with further information, and if you click again you can have a closeup view.

The gallery also has videos of the 2008 and 2009 collection that are currently for sale. Many of these paintings will no longer be showing up at my art shows, but only available on this site.

As of today I am in the middle of working on 11 new pieces of art. So keep your eye open for new updates as to what is going on. Watch for some experimentation as I work through some “Art Assignments”!
